It goes beyond just "who wins" — 918kis offers dozens of market types for every esports match.
The most straightforward market — simply pick the team you believe will win the overall match. A great starting point for those new to esports betting at 918kis.
For CS2, Valorant, and Dota 2 — bet on who wins a specific map or game without having to worry about the overall series result.
Handicap markets give the underdog a head start — for example, Team A winning with +1.5 maps means you win even if Team A loses 0:2.
Bet on whether the total number of maps in a series will go over or under a set number. Example: in a Best of 3 — over 2.5 means the series will go to a third map.
The most exciting market — bet while the match is in progress. Odds shift in real time based on in-game conditions, occasionally offering exceptional value opportunities.
Outright markets — bet on who will lift the trophy at the end of a tournament. The odds are higher, but the satisfaction of backing your favourite team from the very start is priceless.
Unlike traditional sports, esports has its own unique dynamics that you need to understand before you start betting.
In Dota 2, MLBB and Valorant, the meta shifts with every patch or update released. A team that dominated the previous meta may not be nearly as strong after a major update. Always follow the latest patch notes before placing your bets at 918kis.
Player substitutions are common in esports — far more so than in football or cricket. A team that has just swapped out a key player may take several weeks to find its footing. Keeping up with the latest roster changes can have a significant impact on your betting decisions at 918kis.
Players who consistently win at esports betting on 918kis tend to specialise in one or two titles. It is far better to develop a deep understanding of every MLBB team in MPL Malaysia than to spread your bets across all titles at once without a solid knowledge base.
Even in esports, a form of home advantage exists — teams playing in front of their own crowd at LAN tournaments consistently perform better than when competing online from a distance. This psychological factor is real and can be factored into your betting strategy.
Live betting during a match at 918kis is one of the best opportunities to find value that the platform may not have fully adjusted for yet. That said, it demands total focus, deep game knowledge, and fast decision-making. Never stake more than 5% of your bankroll on a single in-play bet.
The head-to-head record between two teams over the last 3 months is far more relevant than their overall record. The meta shifts so quickly in esports that results from a year ago are almost meaningless — focus on recent outcomes and each team's current form.
MLBB-Specific Tips at 918kis: MPL Malaysia is the most active esports league in the country and commands an exceptionally passionate fanbase. Teams like RSG Malaysia, Team SMG, and Ultra Prime Malaysia are ones to watch closely — their weekly practice sessions often get talked about within the fan community before matches even begin.

Malaysia is one of the most active esports communities in Southeast Asia. From MLBB tournaments in Kuala Lumpur to local Dota 2 squads competing in international qualifiers, Malaysian players bring genuine depth of esports knowledge — an edge that can be put to work in smart betting.
At 918kis, we understand that Malaysian e-sports players are far from casual fans — many play these games themselves, follow local teams closely, and have a deep grasp of each character, strategy, and meta. That is a genuine edge over casual bettors who rely purely on team name recognition. This in-depth knowledge, paired with the right betting platform, can become an incredibly valuable advantage.
A few years ago, Malaysian esports was still not taken seriously by many. Today, that has completely changed. Malaysia has an official MLBB league in the MPL format running twice a year, homegrown teams like RSG Malaysia and Team SMG competing on the international stage, and thousands of fans turning up in person at esports arenas in Kuala Lumpur whenever a major match is held.
This growth also means more data, more analysis, and more information available to players who want to make better-informed betting decisions. 918kis taps into this ecosystem by offering comprehensive betting markets, competitive odds, and real-time updates throughout every match broadcast.
One of the features that sets 918kis from other e-sports betting platforms is the quality and speed of the in-play betting system. While a match is in progress, odds shift in real time based on current game conditions — the live score, objectives just taken, players who have fallen, and the overall momentum of each team.
Players who watch matches live and have a strong grasp of the game often spot opportunities before the platform has had a chance to fully adjust. For instance, when a team secures a "Roshan" kill in Dota 2 or takes the "Lord" in MLBB, the momentum swing can be enormous — yet odds on the betting platform sometimes take a few seconds to catch up with what just happened. A sharp, value-aware player can take advantage of that brief window.
For Malaysian players looking to bet on local esports at 918kis, there are a few names you should know well. In MLBB, RSG Malaysia has established itself as one of the most consistent teams in MPL Malaysia, known for their aggressive playstyle and strong team communication. Team SMG, on the other hand, is a team that often surprises opponents with creative, unpredictable strategies.
In the PUBG Mobile arena, BTR Malaysia is a team traditionally strong in placement and survival strategy, often involved in intense battles against squads from Indonesia and Thailand at PMSL SEA. A deep understanding of these teams' playstyles is your greatest asset when making betting decisions grounded in analysis rather than gut feeling.
At 918kis, all of these matches can be followed through our continuously updated esports section. We provide match statistics, team performance records, and everything else you need to place more informed bets. Pair that with your own knowledge as a Malaysian esports fan, and you already have a solid foundation for smarter betting.
As with all forms of betting, it is important to play within the limits you set and to practise sound bankroll management. 918kis supports a responsible betting approach — enjoy Malaysian esports the smart and sustainable way.

How to Use Bonuses for E-Sports Betting: To get the most out of your sports betting bonus at 918kis, use the bonus funds on pre-match bets with moderate odds (between 1.70 and 2.50). Avoid using the bonus on longshot bets (odds above 5.00) — while the payout can be large, the low probability of winning means you may not meet the wagering requirement before the bonus expires.
"Esports is more than just video games — it is a sport with real athletes, professional training and complex strategy. Malaysian players who understand this have a significant edge in the betting markets."
